Narrow up a Child

A famous scripture, Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go and even when he is old, he will not depart from it." In Hebrew it doesn't just say train, the word is narrow. It means narrow a child in the way. Narrow, meaning guide, direct into that certain way. A child can go in any direction, narrow them to the Lord. Narrow them to the Word, narrow them to God's way, to righteousness. Narrow them to be godly people, to be giving people. Narrow their ways. Guard them from evil influences. It is not a bad thing to be narrow, not only for your child, but for yourself. We need to narrow ourselves. Narrow the ways of your eyes to only see what is beneficial. Narrow the ways of your thoughts into what is pure. Narrow the ways of your time so you don't waste it. Narrow the ways of your tongue so you don't gossip. Narrow your way, because straight is the road and narrow is the way that leads to life. Those who find it are those who walk narrow.
