Climbing Jacob's Ladder

One of the most famous visions in the Bible is called in Hebrew, Sulam Yaakov, which we know as Jacob's Ladder. Jacob saw a vision of a ladder that connected heaven to earth and upon which angels ascended and descended. The ladder represents Messiah and signifies that wherever you are, there is a ladder that comes from Heaven to meet you. No matter how far away from God you feel, no matter how horrible the sin, no matter how low, ungodly, and hopeless your situation, there is a ladder there to meet you. It is the ladder of God's grace. But a ladder is not an elevator, or an escalator. It's a ladder. You climb it. So, God's grace is not just there to be talked or thought about. You won't realize the blessings of His grace if you don't climb. Wherever you are, the ladder of Heaven's grace has touched the ground next to you. Don't stay where you are. Take a firm hold of that grace and rise out of that pit. For we do not simply talk about a ladder or think about it - we climb it. For Messiah is our Sulam Yaakov.rn
