We associate the Jewish people with tradition. But the amazing thing is, it's really the opposite. Just look at Abraham. To be the father of the Jewish people he had to break all the traditions of his fathers by leaving his homeland for God. The most Jewish thing in the world is to leave what you've known for, leaving behind the familiar to journey with God in tents. So, if you're born again, you're Abraham's child and you have to do the same. You have to be untraditional. You can't relate to God based on the traditions of men, or what's been handed down to you. You have to relate to God for yourself. It means you have to break out of the traditions of your own life - the traditions of compromise, sin, despair, bitterness and defeat, the traditions of fear and weakness; the traditions you've honored throughout your life. So do something in the tradition of Abraham today - break that tradition!rn
