Years later, he brought the boy to the island and proclaimed him King Felipe I. King Felipe appointed his friends as dukes. When he died, one of them became the new king of Redonda, King Juan I. The Kingdom of Redonda was uninhabited and less than one square mile in size. So, these proud kings were really kings of nobody. So with us. It's easy to proclaim yourself king over your own life. Whenever you say, "it's my life and I'll do whatever I want with it," you're proclaiming yourselves king over your own life. Like the kings of Redonda discovered, that proclamation leads to emptiness. But when you make God the King of your life, it ends up being full. So listen and get off your self-made throne today.
