Don't Lose Sight

We were going to a Christian gathering in a caravan of cars. The person who was leading the caravan was a perfectionist and always getting into arguments about doctrines. During the caravan, he got so deep into an argument that he got lost. When he opened his Bible, it opened at Jeremiah 31:21, "Set your heart to the highway." He had lost sight of the highway and got sidetracked. In the same way, we are all on a journey. There are a million ways to get sidetracked. Don't get caught up on issues that really mean nothing in the end. Keep your eyes on the prize - Jesus. Stay centered on the center, major on the major, minor on the minor. The center is Him. Keep Him as the center of everything you do. "Let us with endurance run the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Yeshua, Messiah, the author and the finisher of our faith." If you'll fix your eyes on Him, you'll win the race. Don't look to the right or the left but set your heart to the highway of your salvation.
