He Never Said That

There are times in ministry where people are carrying out a directive which they were told came from me. One day they told me about it and I said, "I never said that." They said, "but I've been doing things this way because I was told that's the way you wanted it." It turned out someone misunderstood or assumed something and then told someone else that the directive came from me. But it never did. These are miscommunications and mis-directives. But it doesn't only happen with earthly things. There are heavenly mis-commandments. People often make mistakes when it comes to hearing God and then relaying what "He said" to others. When this happens to me, I'll tell the person, "Don't assume that something is from me, just because someone said it." It's the same way with the Lord. You have to go back to the Word. Don't waste your walk believing misunderstandings, obeying mis-commandments, and carrying out mis-directives from others. For Messiah died directly for you so you could go directly to Him.
