Roger Babson, a famous statistician was having lunch with the President of Argentina. "Mr. Babson," the President said, "I have been wondering why it is that South America with all its natural advantages, mines of iron, copper, coal, silver, and gold, its rivers and great waterfalls which rival Niagara, is so far behind North America." Babson replied, "Well, Mr. President, what do you think is the reason?" He paused for a moment and then gave his answer, "I have come to this conclusion, South America was founded by the Spanish who came here in search of gold. North America was founded by the Pilgrim fathers who went there in search of God." We must not forget this lesson. If you live a life seeking after the blessings of God and not God Himself, the gifts but not the Giver, you'll end up losing both. And even if you end up getting those things and all the prosperity the world has to offer, without God first, it quickly becomes empty and meaningless. "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you."
