The Oxen In Your Life

In Proverbs it's written, "When the ox is in the stall, the stall is a mess - but much increase comes by the strength of the ox." What's the principle here? Life is never neat - like an ox in a stall. The fantasy that life is supposed to be "neat" is not a reality. Marriage isn't neat, having children isn't neat, and none of our lives are neat. But God never promises that life will be neat or that it will fit into your plans. That's true for our walks, our churches, and our ministries. Asrnlong as people are involved, life, is not going to be neat. But if we got rid of the people, we'd lose the factor of life. God is the God of life and life is not neat. So, your faith and walk will never be neat, or how you expect them to be. Instead of looking for neatness, embrace all the oxen of life - the ox of marriage, ministry, people, and children. For without the oxen, your lifernwould be neat, but with the ox comes much profit - the blessings of life.
