A study was done with babies and a two-object mobile. The babies were fascinated by them. Then they were given a ten-object mobile, and then they were moved back to the two-object mobile. The babies were suddenly no longer interested. They even cried about it. As adults, we have the same nature. We always tend to want more. We have a house but we want a bigger one. We have a job but we want a better one. We have a ministry but we want a larger one. We have a spouse but we want them to be a better spouse. But in wanting more, we lose focus of the blessing of what we have. The Bible says, "If we have food and clothing, we will be content." "Rejoice in the wife of your youth, drink water from your own cistern." In other words, stop focusing on what you don't have. It only robs you of the joy and contentment you would otherwise have and causes you to be frustrated and miserable. Start rejoicing in the blessings you do have and you'll live a life of contentment.

Today, dwell on the blessings you do have in your life, give thanks for them, rejoice in them. And see how much more blessed your heart will become.
