Sowing Seeds In Your Scattering

Friday, January 22, 2021

Acts 8 says that the believers were persecuted and scattered. The word scattered in Greek is diaspora. We get the word disperse, or dispersion from it. The believers were dispersed. In their dispersion they spread the truth about Messiah and people got saved. Do you know what the word diaspora actually means? It means to sow seeds. So as persecution dispersed them, they used it to sow the seeds of the Gospel, which is why the diaspora happened in the first place. When things seemed bad, the persecution brought about the sowing of seeds of life. It tells us that for a child of God, hidden in every problem is something good. Whatever problem you're going through, God is waiting to bring forth something good out of it. Your problem might look like persecution and scattering, but it's actually sowing seeds. So start looking for God's higher purposes, and how to turn bad things for good. Start looking for the life that comes forth when the seed of God is sown. Because in every dispersion, there is waiting a diaspora; a sowing of life.rn
