It's amazing how much time we spend worrying about, complaining about, and just dwelling on problems. But your problems don't have to be problems. Troubles, problems, and crises are great natural resources to be converted into fuel for a powerful prayer life. The key is... convert them. Take your problems and convert them into prayer. In Hebrew, one of the words for prayer or worship also means "to give in marriage," as in giving a bride to be wed. So if you have a problem, give it away - marry it to God. When a father gives his daughter in marriage, he lets her go. So let your problem go. Bring your past, your shame, your guilt, and your secret things down the aisle. Give it to God, throw your rice on it. Say goodbye, and be free. Marry your problems to God, because he came down to earth to be joined to all of it; your troubles, your problems, and your burdens. So take your troubles and lead them down the aisle. Because your troubles and problems were meant to be married, and you were meant to be free.
