The sacrifices of Israel hold mysteries concerning the sacrifice of Messiah. One such sacrifice was the burnt offering. It was the sacrifice offered on the holy days. It was above the other sacrifices in that it was totally consumed. Its Hebrew name is Olah. Olah comes from the root word in Hebrew that means to rise. It also means to break the dawn or end the night. Messiah is the Olah sacrifice. The rising sacrifice, the sacrifice of the resurrection. Messiah is also the sacrifice that breaks the dawn, that ends the night, and that brings the sunrise. Therefore, if you have Messiah in your life, you have the power to rise, to overcome, to break the dawn, to walk in the power of the sunrise, and the power of new life. But remember that the power comes through a totally consumed offering. So when you sacrifice your will for his will, your life for his life, you'll know the power of rising. You will know the joy of a new beginning and the glory of the breaking of dawn. Messiah is the Olah, the breaker of the dawn.
