The Swan Song

Messiah said, "I saw Satan falling like lightning from Heaven." Thus Satan has a fallen nature and so do all his followers. So the nature of evil is a downward pull to destruction. It may, for a time look as if evil will prevail, but it must ultimately fall. Sin has to fall because in the voice of every sin and temptation is the swan song of the fallen angel. It's there to pull you down, to cause your walk, your ministry, and your whole life to fall. But God has called you to rise. The power of sin makes you fall, but the power of Messiah, is to make you rise. If you need a reason to turn away from sin, to resist that temptation, and to overcome, then remember that the purpose of every temptation is to bring you down. But in every step of God, every step of righteousness, and every step of resisting that sin, is the power to rise and turn from sin. Thus God's will for your life is to rise. For you are not of the fallen angel - but of the risen God.
