Jerusalem in White & Green

One of the first things that struck me when I first set foot in Israel was the word "Jerusalem." But I had never before seen it on a road sign. It said, "Jerusalem in white letters on green" along with an arrow, and a number to indicate how many kilometers it took to get there. This is profound. Our faith is based not on philosophy, not on opinion, not on legend, and not on myth; instead our faith is based on reality. It involves a real place, in real time, flesh and blood, a walled city set on a hill. It's real, as real as Jerusalem is on a road sign. Every point on earth is connected to Jerusalem and Jerusalem is the place of your salvation. God's love poured out. You must connect every part of your life to your salvation in Jerusalem. Your salvation must connect to every part of your life, and God's love will connect to every place the soles of your feet tread. Let it be for real to every part of your life. For by God's miracle, Jerusalem is on the road sign.
