Shannah & a Year of Second Chances

So we begin a new year. In Hebrew, the word for year is SHANNAH. It comes from the Hebrew word for "two" and can mean several things. One of its meanings is "The SECOND." Each year is a SECOND, or rather, each New Year is a SECOND CHANCE to do the Lord's will. This past year may have gotten messed up and you didn't have all the victories you hoped you would. You didn't overcome all those sins and you're not where you wanted to be, but take heart. This is a new year; it's SHANNAH, a second chance to have that victory; to overcome that sin and to rise up to your calling. For God is the God of second chances. After that He will have another second chance for His mercies are new every morning. So by the power of His grace, live the life you were called to live - the year you were called to live. Win the victory you were called to win. For it is a new year, and that means it's a Shannah. It's your SECOND CHANCE to TRIUMPH. Happy New Year - Happy Second Chance.
