Your Appearance In Isaiah 53

Saturday, July 18, 2020

Hidden inside the prophecy of Isaiah 53 is something strange. You won't read it in English because the translators couldn't quite handle it. Verse nine says, "... and with a rich man in His death." But what it really says is, "B'et Asheer B'Mo-taihv", which literally means, "with a rich man in His deaths." "In His deaths" doesn't make sense in English. How can one man die many deaths, and how can many deaths be linked to one man? There's only one answer. Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, alone of all men did not die his own death. When He died on the cross, it wasn't one death but many deaths. He died for you and me. He's the Prince of Life. 2 Corinthians says, "... one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him." So Isaiah 53 is not only a prophecy of the death of Messiah - but of the death of your old life - thus you are no longer in your old life or under sin. For the proof is there - the death certificate of your old life - Isaiah 53.

From Message #898 - In His Deaths

Today's Mission

Read Isaiah 53. Read the one verse that says "in His death" and ponder the Hebrew - that it's a death certificate of your old life - Live today in the fullness of what that means.
