A Lambless Passover

We talk about the "Passover Lamb." Your Bible translation in Exodus and Corinthians may have those words. Yet in the original Hebrew and Greek, it just says "Passover." The Passover and the Lamb are one. The Passover is the Lamb and the Lamb is the Passover. For two thousand years the Jewish people have been celebrating Passover without a lamb. How can you have Judaism without the cornerstone of Judaism, a Day of Atonement without the Atonement, a Passover-less Passover? It's no stranger than much of what passes as Christianity. For many congregations, their faith is just a Passover-less Passover. It's all about Jesus, but there's no real Jesus there. Even for many believers who once loved the Lord, their walk has become Lamb-less. They still say the right words and go through the right motions, it's all about the Lamb, but something's missing... the Lamb himself, His presence, His power, His reality. Are you heading to a Messiah-less Christianity - a Lamb-less walk? Come back to your First Love, to the reason for your walk, joy, and salvation. Worship Him today, put Him first, and you'll never end up with a Lamb-less Passover.
