The law of cause and effect: your past is a cause which effects the rest of your life. A miserable past very likely produces a miserable future. So, what happened two thousand years ago? Yeshua, Jesus of Nazareth was killed. Yet within weeks His disciples were proclaiming the Good News of salvation to the very people who murdered the leader of their nation, and then to the ends of the earth. In just a few weeks they became the most joyful, confident, and powerful of people. The world works according to the law of cause and effect. But God's kingdom works by the law of new life and the Spirit, breaking the law of cause and effect. So you've been abused, hurt, rejected, abandoned, and unloved? You've failed, messed up, and done horrible things? You've been weak, addicted, bound, and broken? The law of cause and effect says you're stuck. But the law of the Spirit says forget the law of cause and effect. Forget the past, walk in the newness of life and the power of Messiah, for the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
