The Good Hunger

We spend so much time and energy trying to get what we want. We think if we get what we want, we'll be happy. Sometimes we do get what we want and we end up disappointed, even in the Lord. We strive to get something we believe will fulfill us. We focus on the getting part. Messiah said something very different, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. The secret is not in getting what you want. It's in wanting what you get. The blessing comes in wanting that which is given. The secret of a life of fulfillment and joy is not in getting what you want, but in wanting the right thing. We tend to put all our energy into the getting, but Messiah leads us to put our energy into the wanting. The blessed ones are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, because righteousness is what God will give us always. Start desiring the good and the perfect thing that God longs to give you from Heaven.rn
