When Hitler came to power, he set a goal of destroying the Jewish people and the Christian Church. It was his obsession. He made war on those determined to stand for the Lord. Joseph Stalin also warred against the Christian Church and the Jewish people.These dictators were foreshadows of the man the Bible calls the antichrist. It is written that the antichrist will war against the saints, against Jerusalem and the Jewish people. Why this obsession with destroying the Church and the Jewish people? Totalitarian governments see the state or the leader as God. The very existence of the Jewish people and the Church testifies to the existence of the true and living God. In order to maintain their claim, the dictator must war against the Church and the Jewish people. We, as God's people, may not realize how powerful we are, but the dictators do. When it comes to God and the enemy, the Jew and the Christian are in the same boat. We are a far more powerful threat to the enemy's kingdom than we often ever realize. rn
