Becoming A John The Baptist

Yochanan, John the Baptist, was, in a sense, the last of the Old Testament prophets. He was a priest and a Nazarite. Messiah called him the greatest of those born of women. Yet Yochanan said, I immerse you with water for repentance. But He who comes after me is more powerful than I. I am not worthy to carry His sandals. The greatest man ever born didn't focus on himself. The whole point of Yochanan's life was Messiah. Everything he stood for, everything he said and did, was leading up to Messiah. That's why he was the greatest. Of all the prophets who ever came, his life most directly led to Messiah. So it is with you. If you want to live a great life, make Jesus the object and purpose of all you do. Whatever you do, do it to lead to Jesus. Whatever you do, do it to His glory. Whatever thing in your life does not lead to Jesus, get it out. Make your life one hundred percent leading directly to Jesus and the life you lead will lead to greatness. rn
