What is it that you are worrying about: financial, relationship, medical, legal, ministry, family problems, terrorism, war and the future? It's natural to worry. When you worry, you're concerned about what could happen to you, what you could lose, and what could be taken away from you. You wonder if you can trust God. It's a hard thing to trust when everything in your life seems to be hanging on a thread. The next time you are in one of those situations and worry, think about this: every moment of your life is already hanging by a thread. Everything you have hangs only on the next heartbeat. You are never more than one heartbeat away from losing everything. Yet, God is keeping that next heartbeat coming. So then, what is there to worry about? No matter the situation, don't fear. If you can trust God for your heartbeat literally every second, life and death, what would you possibly be worried about? For whatever the danger is, it is no greater than the danger or the security of your next heartbeat. rn
