The Power Of The New Song

While in prison, Paul and Barnabas could've been complaining, afraid and miserable. Instead, they were joyous, rejoicing and praising God. Then the whole prison burst open with an earthquake. It would've been natural, given their situation, to have been depressed, worried, or angry. But instead they rejoiced. That's subversive! The Lord wants us to subvert the enemy's system by playing a different and new song. Don't get into old arguments. If Paul and Barnabas could sing a song of praise in prison, then no matter what other people are doing to you, you too can start singing a new song! Sing a new song of forgiveness, of hope, of unconditional joy and love. Those who sing the old songs will get confused, but prison walls will tumble in your life if you sing a new song. God wants you to confuse the old songs being played around you by having you sing a new song of love and peace. If people hate you, love them. Don't play the enemy's tune, but sing the song of God. Rejoice, be glad and sing a new song! rn
