You Can Only Leave If You Enter

The Israelites left Egypt. That is why it's called the Exodus. They exited. So every child of God has to make an exodus and to leave an old life behind. But it's never just about leaving. The Hebrews weren't just leaving Egypt. They were leaving one place to head out to another, they had a purpose, to serve God and to end up in the Promised Land. Imagine you're on a plane and you ask the person next to you, "Where are you going?" "I'm not heading anywhere," they answer, "I'm just on the plane so I can leave the airport." It would be ridiculous. It's just as ridiculous if we're only focused on leaving sin, but not entering righteousness. How do you depart from sin? The best way to leave something is to set your heart on going somewhere else. Do you want to leave the ungodly things? Set your heart on the godly things. Focus on Him. Every child of God needs an exodus, but the only way you can make an exodus is to have a Promised Land. rn
