The Mystery Of His Deaths And You!

Isaiah 53:9 foretells Messiah's death seven centuries before it happened. But in the Hebrew, it doesn't say death but deaths. It is an amazing mystery. In Hebrew, when a plural word is used for a singular, it speaks of something of such great intensity or magnitude that a singular word can't contain it. So to say that Messiah died is not enough. He died an eternal death and a death squared by infinity, the separation of God from God. We'll never know the depths of it, the suffering and the hell. It is enough that we know that He died a death beyond that which we could ever know. He didn't just die for you. He died a death beyond death for you. Therefore, what kind of a life should we live in response? A life beyond life, a life beyond what is expected, beyond what is natural. So don't just live a life for Messiah, live a life plural; a life so great, so intense, so passionate, so transcendent that it can only be explained by the fact of His death for you, but not just His death, but His deaths. rn
