What if Eve fell but Adam did not? If that happened, they would never be able to be joined together, for one would be in sin and the other holy. Adam's joining Eve in sin is a profound picture of our redemption. After our fall, we could never become one with God, but there could be no life unless He became one with us. Therefore, He came in the likeness of sin. Without sinning, He joined Himself to our sins, and to our death so He could become one with us again. He came in the image of sin to join Himself with us so that we can now be joined to His love, His holiness, His righteousness and His life. Paul said the two shall become one, speaking of Messiah and the Church. So if you're feeling distant from God today because of sin, don't be, for God joined Himself to every possible thing that could have separated you from Him. The two shall become one. This mystery is great, but I am speaking of Messiah and you! rn
