The Nearness Of The Anointing

To enter their ministry, the priests of Israel had to go through a ritual process of ordination. Exodus 29:8 says, "and you shall karav his sons and put garments on them." The garments were the mantel in ministry, but they could only get those garments to minister if they were brought near. Karav means to approach God, or to join. In order for the priest to have their mantle, they had to first karav, come near to God. That's the secret of ministry, if you want to do great things for God, you've got to karav, draw near to God. You can only be as great in God as you are near to God. The nearer you are to God, the greater the anointing. The higher you want to go, the deeper your roots have to be in God. The farther you want to go, the closer you have to come to Him. Go for greatness in God; but remember that greatness starts with deepness, and deepness begins in His presence.rn
