The Low Strings Are Also Beautiful

Your life and your heart has had ups and downs, good times and bad, emotional highs and emotional lows. In Ephesians 5:19, it is written, "...singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." In other words, your heart is a musical instrument! In this verse appears the Greek word psallo, which means to pluck as a harp. A harp does not only have high strings, but low strings. In that is its beauty. So too, all the highs and even the lows in your life, if given to the Lord, become beautiful, just as the strings of a harp. And only the harp that is touched by a musician can make its music. So too, only the heart that lets itself be touched by the Spirit can make music in the Spirit. So don't despise the lows of your life, the sorrows and the wounds, let Him touch them and use them all to praise Him. Your life will become like a harp that brings forth a melody of beauty to the glory of the Lord.rn
