The Mystery Of The Chodesh

A new moon signifies a new month on the Biblical calendar. The Hebrew word for New Moon is Chodesh, which also means month. The new month and the New Year were ushered in by the blowing of trumpets. Chodesh comes from Chadash, meaning to renew, rebuild, repair or heal. Every month the moon is renewed, rebuilt, repaired and healed. If God gives a new moon, He can give you a new heart. If God can rebuild and repair the moon, He can rebuild and repair your life. If God can heal the moon, He can heal you. If He brings the moon to fullness and wholeness, then His will is the same for your life. The moon becomes new, whole and full by letting itself be filled to reflect the light of the Sun. Celebrate the moon's Biblical mystery; learn its Gospel, God's miracle for your life. Blow a trumpet; celebrate grace and fullness that is yours for the asking. Learn from the moon. Move from newness to newness, and from fullness to fullness in the light of the Sun. rn
