Messiah's Hanukkah

Monday, December 27, 2021

There's only one place in the entire Bible where Chanukah is celebrated. It is in the New Testament. But the New Testament is Christian - not Jewish. Wrong! The New Testament is Jewish and about the Christ or Messiah. So where do you find Chanukah? Write this down and tell your Jewish friends - It's John 10 verse 22 - 'Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem.' The word Dedication in Hebrew - is Chanukah. Chanukah means - the Dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem. It says 'It was winter and Jesus - Yeshua - was in the Temple.' The One who is celebrated every year at Christmas - Himself celebrated Chanukah. At Chanukah, the Temple, and all Jerusalem, would be lit up with lights, torches, and candles. Messiah celebrated Chanukah, not by lighting a light, but by simply Being the Light. You want to follow Him? Then you must celebrate Chanukah as He did. Wherever you are, bear witness to God's truth, God's love, and God's glory. Let your life become a light of the world. rn

Today's Mission

Seek to share the light of Messiah today to those who dwell in darkness - but even more than sharing the light - seek to BE the light today.rn
