Henry Stanley, the English journalist, set out to find the Scottish missionary, David Livingston in the jungles of Africa. Before leaving he asked his friend to lend him his badly worn and stained Bible. During the journey, Stanley encountered an African king , named Mataso, who wanted to know about angels. Stanley replied, "I have a book with me and it will tell you better, not only what angels are but about God and His Son." "So fetch it now," the king said, "we will wait." Stanley got the Bible and read Revelation and Ezekiel to them. After some time, he said farewell to the king. Before long the king sent a runner after him, saying, "The Book, Mataso wants the book!" From that one Bible, a spiritual revolution came to the land that would become Uganda. The pages of that Bible may have been faded but the Word of God never fades. Just one worn out Bible can bring life and revolution to a person or a nation. If applied, the Bible can change the history of a land - how much more, can it change your life?rn
