Sharing The Shadow Of Your Beloved

In the Song of Solomon, the bride says of the bridegroom, My Beloved is an apple tree and I delight in His shadow. The beloved is Messiah and we are the bride. Messiah is as an apple tree; the tree of the cross and His death is as sweet as an apple tree. It's a tree of His love, and we are to delight in His beautiful shadow and to abide in the shadow of His wings. Mary Magdalene waited by His tomb full of sorrow. She was waiting in His shadow because of her love for Him. She would rather be with Him in death, in His shadow, than with anyone else in life. Let us also be so in love with Him that we even delight in His shadow. Delight in the hard times, in the valleys, in your problems, and when it costs you. Delight in joining Him in His death. Because in the shadow of your Beloved is a sweetness and a joy greater than any other in the world. Your Beloved is an apple tree and even in His shadow, you will find delight. rn
