The Do-It-Yourself Command

Remember when you were growing up and you were given a do-it-yourself-kit? When you put something together yourself, you felt good about it. Did you know that God gives you a do-it-yourself Scripture kit? You come up with the Scripture, with His help of course. In the Sermon on the Mount, Messiah says, Do for others what you would have them do to you. This is called the Golden Rule, and the Greatest Commandment. And yet, it doesn't tell you what to do. It doesn't give you any details. That's because it's the Do-It-Yourself Commandment Kit. The Lord doesn't tell you what to do. He just gives you the principle. You have to put it together. You have to ask yourself, What would I like others to do for me? And then you have your commandment. Go do it for others. Do-it- yourself-kits are fun and rewarding - and God has given you a most holy one. So go for it because you've been given your very own Do-It-Yourself-With-Him-Scripture-Commandment-Kit! rn
