In days gone by, a white canary was used in mine shafts to measure the safety of the air. When coal miners went down into the mine, the canary was used as a sign. If there was something wrong with the air, the canary would die. That was a sign that everyone had to get out of the mine. Today we are seeing an attack on fatherhood. The authority of fatherhood is attacked and more children are being raised without fathers. Fatherhood is the white canary of modern civilization. It is a sign of a culture at war with family, gender, and with humanity itself. Without fathers, the family has no real protection. We as God's people have to all the more uphold the sanctity of fatherhood, motherhood, parenthood, childhood, and human life itself. If the canary dies, then all are in danger. Let's do our job as end-time believers. Be examples and stand up for what is right. Shine the light of Messiah more brightly than ever before, because the darker the world, the brighter must be the lights of that world. rn
