I grew up watching Saturday morning Loony Tune cartoons. When a Loony Tune cartoon character was hit in the head hard enough with a safe, a bomb, or by a train you would see the characters rising to heaven wearing halos, wings, and playing harps. A pig going to heaven is not theologically correct - or kosher. But there's still a truth in it. We associate heaven with death. You die and then comes heaven. But you're supposed to be dwelling in the heavenly realms now. How do we dwell in heaven now if you're still alive? You don't. You have to die to your old self, to your old life. Only those who die can enter heaven. You don't wait for this life to end to be finished with this life. Finish it now. The one who dies is the one who gets wings - of the Spirit. The Bible says, You died with Messiah. Your life is now above in heaven.
