The sacrifices of Israel hold mysteries concerning the sacrifice of Messiah. The burnt offering was the ultimate sacrifice. It was the sacrifice that Abraham was called to make with Isaac. It was the sacrifice of the Sabbath days, the Holy Days, and Yom Kippur. It was special because it was totally consumed and went totally up in smoke. It's called in Hebrew, the Olah - which means to rise. Messiah is the Olah - the total sacrifice. His is the sacrifice that ends up rising to God with His resurrection. Olah also means to break the dawn and end the night. Messiah brings the sunrise and ushers in new life. If you have Messiah in your life, then you have the Olah - the power to rise, to overcome, to break the dawn and to walk in the power of new life. When you sacrifice your will for His will, and your life for His life, then you'll know and receive the power of the Olah, the power to rise, to begin a new beginning, the power of breakthrough.
