The Sluggard's Loss

The Bible says, The sluggard will reach for the dish and will not even bring his hand back to his mouth to eat. It's a dramatic picture of laziness. It's an exaggeration for the purpose of making a point. Many people start things and never finish them. They start jobs, plans, marriages and families and they don't finish. They start with big dreams of serving God in ministry, but they get discouraged, throw in the towel and give up. Or they run into problems, get distracted, tempted, then mess up and give up. They could have won. If you want blessing in your marriage or success in your life, you have to follow through. There's always going to be conflict and challenges. If you don't follow through in your ministry, your marriage, or with that problem, you will never see the prize. If you are doing something in the Lord, it's a ministry of the Lord. Marriage, parenthood, and your walk are of the Lord. Keep on keeping at it until you finish the course and win the prize. Then you won't end up hungry like the sluggard.rn
