I came to the Lord when I was in college and had to decide what to do with my life. I fasted and prayed, and the Lord led me in a particular direction. I didn't know all the Lord would have ahead, only the next step, and I took it. It would take years before I would see the real outworking of God's purposes in my life. The Psalm declares, Your word is a lamp to my feet. It's a lamp, not a headlight. The Word and the Spirit will generally lead you. You may have an idea, vision or promise of things yet to come. It is more important that you know what God has for you today. Instead of trying to figure out all the details of His will, put your focus on obeying His will now, because today is the only day you can fulfill His will. The first step will lead to the second, and so on, until it all comes to pass. Trust Him for the future, because the best way to know God's Will is to obey it right now.rn
