The Book Of The Maker

I get catalogs in the mail, and sometimes I order things. Once I ordered an exercise machine. When it arrived, I opened the box. I saw nuts, bolts, metal plates, and rods, and started getting nauseous. I realized I had to assemble this thing! There was a How-To chart, but I didn't follow it. I put it together the way I thought it should be. I showed it to some friends and they asked, "Did you put that together all by yourself?" I answered, "Yes." They said, "Well, it looks like a real nice rowing machine." I said, "But it's supposed to be an exercise bike!" If you put something together without instructions, it probably won't work. In the same way, we are given an instruction book for life: the Bible. Follow its directions. If you have no peace, joy or wholeness, you're not doing things by the Book. The Maker of this Book is the Maker of your life. Ignore the Book and all the pieces of your life will start falling apart; follow it and all the pieces will come together. rn
