In the account of Martha and Mary, Messiah is the guest, Mary is sitting at His feet, and Martha is anxiously running around, preparing and serving. The Greek word for Martha's behavior means, pulled all over the place. Martha is lost in the distractions and side issues. There's only one real main issue, and He's sitting right there in front of her in her home. Mary is centered on Him, but Martha is pulled all over the place. When you lose Him as the center, all the side issues creep in. From the same Greek root word that speaks of Martha's behavior, peri, we get the word, peripheral. We get caught up in peripheral or side issues and get distracted. That's what the enemy wants. But God wants you centered. So, break away from the peripheral issues, and get back to the Number One issue -Yeshua! Get focused! It's Him sitting right here and now in your house, as you get pulled by every side issue and distraction but Him. Center your heart on Messiah, and your life will become centered and focused, and you won't be pulled all over the place.rn
