Donning Your Supernatural Armor

In the Book of Ephesians, Paul tells the believer to put on the full armor of God. The Ephesians had myths about heroes using divine armor. Perseus, son of Zeus, was one of those heroes. He had winged sandals so that he could fly, a helmet of Hades which gave him invincibility, a curved sword to slay monsters, and a shield to come against the monster, Medusa. The Greeks even named a constellation based on Perseus. But it's all a myth. What Paul speaks about in Ephesians is not a myth. It's real from God Himself: the girding of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the sandals of the Gospel, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit. It means that if you are a believer, your mission is to bring salvation. You must live a heroic life, not one of fear or defeat. You're to fight the good fight and it will bring you victory in every situation. It is about the power and the armor of God. God has called you to a heroic life and it all begins when you gird yourself and put on the armor of the hero.rn
