In England there's a disease called the French Pox, but in France, that same disease is called the English Pox. The Czechoslovakian phrase for drinking too much is to drink like a Dutchman, but in Holland it's to drink like a Pole. Each nation links foreigners with despicable traits, vices, or diseases. It's human nature to fear foreigners, to stay away from strangers, the one that is different from you. It was a very radical thing when Messiah gave the parable of the Good Samaritan - the despised foreigners - in the sight of the Jews and vice versa. Messiah said, I was a stranger and you invited Me in. He was saying that the way you treat the stranger, the one not of your people or nation, is the way you treat Him. When you do it to the least of people, you do it to Him. If you call yourself a child of God and a follower of Messiah, you will give an account of how you treated the strangers. You love Messiah? Prove it by blessing a stranger today, because when you love them, you'll be loving the Lord.rn
