John 3:16 could be called the greatest sentence ever written or spoken: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish but have everlasting life." How does the greatest sentence start? It starts with the word, God. And why is that? A simple but profound reason: whatever is truly great must begin with God. If you want your life to be a great one, then you can't begin with you. You have to begin with God. God is the subject of the greatest sentence, not us. So if you live your life from yourself, your strength, or your ability, you'll never live the life you were meant to. Learn instead to live from Him, from His strength, His ability, His love, His heart, His spirit. Let every part of your life come from Him, flow from His flowing, emanate from His radiance, just as the greatest sentence all begins with His love. You want to live the greatest life you could possibly live? It's simple. Make God, not yourself, the subject of your life. And then great things will begin when you begin with the Great Beginning.rn
