Two men each have a field. At night, an enemy comes and sows seeds of weeds. The first man doesn't deal with it. But the second works hard to remove all that the enemy has planted. A year later the first man is dealing with a harvest of weeds. The harvest he planted is ruined. It's going to take a long time for him to repair the damage. But the man who took care of the weeds at the beginning is going to have a great harvest. He will end up spending less time on weeds and more time on things that bear fruit. In the same way, if you let sins grow and become habits, it will take more time and energy to remove them from your life. But if, on the other hand, you deal with sin at the very beginning, when it's just a seed, you'll end up spending less time in and on sin and a lot of time bearing good fruit of God's harvest. Fight sin at the beginning when it is just a seed and your life will be blessed and fruitful. rn
