The Power Of Facing Jerusalem

After the Messiah's crucifixion, the disciples were persecuted. It would have been natural for most of them to go home to Galilee. But the Lord said, Stay in Jerusalem ... until you are clothed with power from on high. Why Jerusalem? It's where the Lord was crucified. People who hated the disciples were there. Their enemies wanted them dead. God could have poured out His Spirit anywhere. But God chose to pour it out in Jerusalem. God chooses to pour out His Spirit over the tough places. He chose Jerusalem so that the light could go into the darkness. So the miracle could overcome the problem. God wants that problem, that darkness in your life to be touched by His power. He doesn't want you to run away from your problems or from the world. Take it head-on with the power of God. Go full speed ahead! Shine the light into the darkness. Get the Gospel to the lost. Love the unlovely. Bless those who curse you. The Lord's glory will rest on you because He pours out His Spirit, power and anointing in the tough places.rn
