Know Your Neighbor

I picked up the phone one day and I heard a woman's voice. I hung up. I did it again and heard the voice once more. The third time I said, Hi, can you hear me? She said, Yeah. We discovered that we lived across the street from each other. We had been there for years and didn't know one another. Our relationship lasted a few days until the telephone company fixed the wires. It took crossed wires to get us to talk to each other. This is true for many of us. We know more about what is going on across the world than across the street. We live next door to people we really don't know. There are so many people in our lives who need the Gospel, who need to hear what we have. Messiah says, Go and preach the Gospel to all creation. Love your neighbor as yourself. Bless all of the people in your life. Starting with those who are all around you: your neighbors, your co-workers, your family. Just do it. It's a lot better than waiting for the wires to get crossed. rn
