In Leviticus 16:23, it's written that at the end of Yom Kippur, Aaron the high priest will come back into the tabernacle, take off the linen garments he used to perform the ordinances of atonement, and just leave them there. This reveals a profound truth. Yom Kippur is about finishing the issue of sin. And one of the most important acts of dealing with sin, is to leave it. Therefore, it must be let go of, dropped, abandoned. In the same way, God has removed your sins in the Yom Kippur of Messiah's sacrifice. But it's not complete until you leave your sins, totally. The linen cloth must be dropped and left behind, it means totally leaving behind, not only the action of your sin, but the thought of your sin, the habit of your sin, the situations of your sin, those things which open the door for that sin, and even the guilt, the shame, and the lingering memory of that sin even the linen garment. Messiah has removed your sins - it's time to be free - walk away completely, even from your linen garment.
From Message #1206 - Sixteen Secrets Of Yom Kippur
Get a piece of paper and make a 'drop off' list of bad habits and sins that you must get rid of. And as you get rid of each one, cross them off your list and never go back to doing them again.
