The Broken Vessel and the Blazing Fire

Gideon's army went to war with shofars (ram's horn trumpets) and pitchers with fire inside. As they advanced to the battle, they smashed the pitchers to reveal the blazing fire. The Bible says we have a treasure in earthen vessels. Our body, our being, or earthly nature is the earthen vessel. Hidden within it is the treasure -- the presence of God. The Spirit of God is the fire. What did Gideon's army have to do to unleash that power? They had to smash the clay vessel. Do you want to be victorious and see the power of God? Then you have to let the flesh be broken. The old self must be smashed and the power of sin must be crushed. Your ego must be broken. People should no longer see the outer man anymore, but the inner. Let them see the Spirit of God - the blazing torch. Break open and let the fire of the Spirit shine. If you smash the earthen vessel, then the Spirit will reign and your victory will come just as it did for Gideon's army. rn
