A Heart Like Glass

Messiah said, Blessed are the pure in heart. The Greek word He used not only means pure but clear. That same word is used in Scripture to describe the appearance of heaven - heavenly glass - clear, like what the heart is supposed to be like. You could translate Messiah's words as, Blessed are the clear in heart, for they shall see God. Glass is transparent. It doesn't block out the light. So the heart that is clear, like glass, will see God. Do you want to be blessed? Then nurture a clear heart, like glass - a heart that is not muddied, not complicated, not self-centered, not closed, but letting in the light and love of God; a heart with no ulterior motive, but so filled up with God's love that it can hold no other motive. Love with a clear heart, praise with a clear praise, rejoice with a clear joy, and live from a heart that is clear as glass because blessed are the clear in heart, for they (you) shall see God.rn
