Did you ever wonder why we have words? The first words ever recorded are found in Genesis 1. God speaks and creation begins. So, the first spoken words of God were spoken to create, to bring into the world that which is good. Therefore words don't exist to tear down, discourage or slander. Nor do they exist just for making conversation. Words exist for the same purpose they did at the beginning - for the divine purposes of calling into being that which is good, to build up, to make whole, and to bring healing. The words you speak must not tear down but build up. So the Word of God tells us to speak only that which will edify and that which will uplift. If you are God's child, then learn from your Father. Speak the Word, and let life come forth. Speak the Word, and let His will be done through it. Speak the Word, and let there be light!rn
